The revitalization of a city brownfield into a modern neighborhood for residential living.
This is the VCES Group’s first project of this kind where it has cooperated in partnership with a city. The goal was to create an open project that integrates the requirements for public infrastructure, commercial development goals, and residents’ expectations. A Design & Build project for revitalizing an unused brownfield in the heart of Prague’s Radotín emerged in close cooperation with the city neighborhood.
In the first phase, two apartment buildings connected by an underground garage were constructed as well as 6 terraced houses, including the exteriors (gardens, public green spaces, and building connection). The residential complex offers a total of 68 apartments, 6 houses, 73 garages, and 12 uncovered parking places.
The roof of the underground garages was designed using intensive greenery and serves as a garden for the ground floor apartments. The apartments on the top floors have been designed as two-story penthouses with spacious terraces that are accessible from an outdoor corridor.
New infrastructure for the neighborhood of Prague 16 (Phase 1 of “City Street”) is also included in the project, including 22 parking spaces for existing residents.
