The first NEXEN TIRE manufacturing plant outside of Asia.
Construction of a new tire factory for the South Korean company NEXEN TIRE, tasked with supplying the European market.
The load-bearing structure of the main factory, with rough dimensions of 860 x 90 m and a height of 12.5 m, has been designed using precast concrete components; the frame for the plant, intended for producing rubber mixtures, is a reinforced concrete structure. The roof is made of a combination of steel and precast reinforced concrete trusses. There are 57 000 m2 of fiber-reinforced concrete floor panels including stabilization. Interior steel structures have been installed to house technological equipment.
The scope of works also included all the construction works on the main factory, i.e. 7 520 m2 of brick walls, 36 006 m2 of plasterwork, 11 233 m2 of suspended ceiling structures, construction of sanitary facilities including water supply and drainage systems, panel cladding of internal warehouses, installation of 662 interior doors, industrial doors, high speed roller shutters and fire shutters and 114 interior windows.
There are 55 403 m2 of facade panels used in the cladding, including 426 panels of opening components (windows, doors, sectional doors) as well as 70 532 m2 of roof cladding in the roofing system, including smoke vent skylights (283 in total) and drainage.
The project also involved earthworks for a part of underground technological tunnels and pile foundations for the factory as well as for all the surrounding office and technological buildings (83 200 m2).
