The Cheb Hospital Has Begun the Completion of Its Facilities
On 31 January, 2017, the Karlovy Vary Region initiated one of the region’s largest investment projects. The reconstruction and completion of the Cheb Hospital will require CZK 480 mil. including VAT and will last until October of 2019. The construction work is being carried out by the consortium of companies Energie – stavební a báňská a.s and VCES a.s. in partnership.
The outdated Pavilion A1 at Cheb Hospital will be completely demolished and replaced by a modern four-storey building with excellent facilities for patients and medical staff. The Pediatric Care Department, Obstetrics, and a number of operating rooms will find a new home there. The project also includes the reconstruction of Pavilion B, which will house specialized outpatient clinics and the inpatient departments of surgery, otolaryngology, and internal medicine. Another 170 parking places will also be added.
The Karlovy Vary Region is funding the completion of the hospital facilities using its own financial resources. The city of Cheb will contribute up to CZK 40 mil. to the construction. This reconstruction will allow the Cheb Hospital to offer better services, new medical equipment, and a pleasant environment not only to the residents of the microregion of Cheb but also to those of Aš and Mariánské Lázně as well.
