Construction of the IGF Care Centre Třeboň Officially Begins

A ceremonial groundbreaking took place today in Třeboň to mark the start of construction of the IGF Care Centre Třeboň project, which aims to establish a modern long term care facility with a total capacity of 148 beds. Of these, 108 will be designated for clients with neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer’s disease, and up to 40 beds for patients with multiple sclerosis.

The project represents the first phase of the IGF Třeboň complex. The next stage includes the construction of the IGF Senior Resort Třeboň, which will offer 72 apartments for residential living for people aged 55 and over, as well as a multifunctional building providing services for both the public and residents.

The project follows the long-term strategy of the South Bohemian company Invest Gate a.s. and its qualified investor fund, Invest Gate Funds SICAV a.s., which focuses on care for seniors and long‑term patients. “Our objective is not only to expand the capacity of specialised care, but above all to provide people with a dignified environment, professional support and facilities that meet current standards. The Třeboň project marks another significant step towards fulfilling this vision. And as a native of South Bohemia, I am pleased that this project is being built right here,” said Kristian Bašta, Chairman of the Board of Invest Gate a.s., during the official ceremony.

The project’s general contractor is VCES a.s., one of the leading construction companies in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

“We are very pleased to have been selected as the general contractor for the IGF Care Centre project in Třeboň. Our company has extensive experience in delivering projects in the healthcare and social services sectors. In the past four years alone, we have completed healthcare and care facilities worth more than CZK 1.6 billion, and this year we have started another project exceeding CZK 3.4 billion at the University Hospital in Hradec Králové,” said Zdeněk Pokorný, Chairman of the Board of VCES a.s., ahead of the groundbreaking ceremony. “We would like to thank the Invest Gate Group for the trust they have placed in us, which enables us to pursue our strategy of expanding our geographical presence,” he added.

Completion of construction of the IGF Care Centre Třeboň and the arrival of new clients is expected in 2027. The project will bring to the South Bohemian Region a completely new facility combining a high level of expertise with an emphasis on a human-centred approach and high-quality conditions for clients, their families and healthcare staff.
